In Which I Dream Of Bees

How was everyone's weekend?

Ours was pretty good, mixed with annoyances.

Apparently the lights in two of our rooms just decided to stop working. FUN! Now we'll have to find an electrician or some junk and I don't even know where to start with that.

Otherwise we hit the arcade and played a crap load of games. Then I had a dream about arcade games. Shocking? Not really.

Ugh I also had this horribly creepy dream where I had bee hives in my head and the bees would get in and out by little holes in my temple and behind my ears. My head buzzed, full of bees.

That's probably one of the worst, most horribly random things I've ever dreamed. I hope I forget about it soon. Though there's probably an interesting story in there somewhere. I'm just too grossed out to examine it.

This post needs a picture of a cute bee to get rid of the creep

The dream was probably related to the bee hive that has moved into our flower garden which has stalled any sort of weeding attempts until the fall.

Has anyone else had a really strange/creepy dream they would like to share?

  1. I don’t like to talk about my scary dreams…they might come true….
This is the third post I’ve read this morning that included the word hives!

  3. No creepy dreams but I told you my weird Star Trek dream. I had another Star Trek dream but all I remember from this one was that it featured Capt. Picard (of course) and the Lord of Asumption. Who is the Lord of Asumption? MyIdonknow.

  4. Ew! Creepy! And that bee picture IS cute, but cute enough to erase that image? No.

I haven't had any creepy or scary dreams lately. At least that I remember. I pretty much never remember my dreams. I did have a weird one last week. But no creepy.

  5. What is it with bees and dreams? I had a dream about a bee stinging me in the middle of my back and he was saying, "take that! and that!" and for some reason I believe I've dreamed that more than once. Yours is way creepier!

  6. Haha Oh my God! I think I’d jump off a bridge if I were to have that dream- I have a bee-phobia (yes, that might not be a word, but it feels oh so real to me!) :)
I once decided to lay down on a bed in my dream only to find out my pillow was made of ants… real, alive, creepy ants…
I think it must be a writer thing, we have an overactive imagination! :)

  7. We had honey bees in our flower bed for two years. My wife, she's too sweet to even kill a bee, but when those little bass turds started stinging us one day, out they went with extreme prejudice.

    Because ~they~ started it!

Creepy dream... all right. Here's one, and you can mod it if you like.

My first naughty dream -- and it was one of ~those~ dreams, you know -- was when I was about 12 or 13 years old, back in about nineteen hunnerd and eighty-three or so.

I dreamt I was in hell, and satan was there, only she was this smoking hot demon witch. She looked quite a lot like Elizabeth Hurley, laying on this firey rock with this tail whipping behind her, hair falling all over her, crooking her finger at me, and screw that other place, I'm staying here!

Anyway, I woke up and was right where I'd gone to sleep. At my cousin's house, visiting, sharing a queen-sized bed with my mom and younger brother.

    Freaking satan...

  8. You know me, I don't dream (or at least, I don't remember them blah blah blah).

What arcade did you go to? Was it cool, or lame like most arcades are nowadays. I'm intrigued...

  9. Hmmm... bees in the head generally symbolize something unsaid which is having a negative effect on you. So, you need to JUST SAY IT to clear out the bees. And my creepy dreams are much too creepy to talk about here. ;)

  10. Cute pict definitely relieved my creepiness feelings.
I hate bees! I run screaming from them! Okay, maybe walk away, but still...creepy dream!

  11. Yuck! That's a terrible dream. I've been having some crazy ones latey but I really prefer not to dwell on them... once I write them down I can't let them go!

  12. I dream about video games sometimes - at times good, at times bad. Bees? Yuck.

  13. Sorry about the dream, but thanks for the plush bumblebee cuteness. I suppose a dream with a bunch of those little guys wouldn't be so bad.

  14. Holly - usually my nightmares are just dreams involving anxiety and work or junk. Usually my "scary" dreams are fun. not this one though

Alex - ugh it was so bad

Hannah - the Lord of Assumption sounds straight up Effing AWESOME!!!!
    !
    !
    and one more
    !

Sonshine - creepy dreams are really rare for me too

Leah - Ha! Talking bee who is also a jerk = funny. but stinging bees, not funny

Lua - ooooh that is horrible. Yeah no thanks on the ant pillow

Eric - yeah once the stinging commences, that's where we draw the line as well.
Hahaha! Sexy Satan was your undoing!

Teebore - it was Pinz in oakdale which has an arcade, a bar/restaurant, bowling and laser tag. It's pretty good. This is the second time we've gone and we spent 4 hours there, mostly playing big buck safari

Koda - hmm i'll have to think on that. Usually i'm pretty good about saying things, which my family can attest to

Lydia - the bees in the garden are cute little honey bees. The ones in my dream were gross giant mean bees

Talli - yeah that's a good point. Hopefully the dream feeling will go away soon

Matthew - yeah me too. This one was about a store that sold arcade games for super cheap and they let you play them for free for as long as you wanted first. That dream was awesome

  15. Dude, that IS a scary dream! Eep.

But, also, that IS an adorable bit of plushy bee-ness.

  17. Bees are not fun. My poor hummingbirds are doing battle with them on their feeders right now.

I have a recurring dream that I forgot to take some kind of important medicine, but then I can't remember what the medicine was for!

  18. Oh no!! That does sound awful! A couple of nights ago, I dreamt that someone snuck into my apartment and left the doors open and punched out the lights. Maybe I should stop watching thrillers....I hope you have sweeter dreams tonight!

  19. Ooh, creepy. My dreams tend to be ones that turn into plots. lol. But I did have one about zombies once. Oh, and Freddy Kruger pulling me into the bed. Which is why I can't watch those films. *shudders*

  20. Oh, yeah, so pass your nightmare on to us. *shivers* Thanks a lot. My most real seeming nightmare is about a tsunami, and though I can oddly breath under water, I can't find my kids. I've had it more than once.

  21. Janel - bees are jerks. and no thanks on forgetting medicine dream

Saumya - what a jerk, punching out your lights

Lindsay - my dreams are almost always plotted, which was why this one was weird for me

Hart - just passing on the nightmares ;)
    reoccuring nightmares are the worst

  22. I like to analyze dreams. (Everybody needs a hobby, right? LOL)

Bees usually symbolizes hard work, creativity or wealth.

It might not be as scary as you think.

If your head was full of bees it's possible your subconscious was telling you about all the ideas that are percolating.

And so they spoke. And it was awesome, covered in sauce.
