    Holy crap! My sister's cat did the same thing one time when we took her to the vet. It was horrifying, it was like she was possessed. The vet and the techs had to don giant leather gauntlets to handle her. My sister started crying a little bit and I cowered in the corner. And they were like trying to gingerly throw a towel over her to calm her down (the cat, not my sister). Which is kind of funny. Next time someone freaks out on you, I suggest just causally tossing a towel over their head: "Shh, that's a girl! We love you!". The point is: a cat could kick a human's ass if it so chose. If you take anything from all that I've ever said to you - let it be that!

    When I used to work as a vet tech, we had a cat who screamed at anyone who neared his cage.

    We were doing surgery on him, and I had to pull him from his cage so we could anesthetize him. So not fun.
