In Which I Hodge-Podge

So, I've got nothing for today. Yeah, I spent like hours yesterday (while I was doing chores and cooking and watching the snow fall (because we got a lot of snow here yesterday and that makes me HAPPY)) trying to think of what to write about today. But really, I got nothing big enough for a whole post.

Which means I guess it's time for another Hodge-Podge.

Remember Hannah? Of course you remember Hannah! She's awesome.
Anyhoo, Hannah is back in the blogosphere with a brand new blog. Check it out.

Guys, I am soooooo close to finishing the first draft of All That Remains. SO CLOSE. I'm going to try my damndest to finish it this week. I'm in a bit of a rush, because Twin has been reading a chapter a day, and I have all these big changes I want to make to the last 5-10 chapters before she gets to them, so the ending makes more sense and junk. I mean, it's not big deal if I don't, she'll read the MS more than once, but it would be nice to have more of it in place before she reads it. But I don't want to take the time to make the changes on, say, chapter 30, when I haven't written the last chapter. It seems kind of like cheating to me.
Right now, she's got like one more chapter to read before I have to start making some changes. So I
have to ZOOM.

Can you believe Christmas is like 2 weeks away? FREAK OUT. I need to start shopping ASAP (all I've got so far are 2 gifts for 2 of 4 dogs. Yeah. So behind)

we haven't even put up our Christmas Tree yet. Sigh

And that's about it!
How are things with you?

And SO happy Hannah is back with us. I missed her so much.

Yay, for Hannah. And I hear you on the Christmas shopping. I have nothing. And I have to get it done while the Monster is in school. Ugh!

And Yay for snow. I saw it on the news this morning. We're getting the cold on Wed. but no snow. Boo. that's all Monster wants for Christmas too -- snow, so she can sled down to her grandparents house.

Aw, you! Thanks for the shout-out.

I have one present down. Aaaand that's it.

I am also trying to finish my draft. The weekend was not the best for productivity...in writing anyway.

Same christmas/hanukkah freak out happening here. I've made my peace with the fact that some cousins may get their gifts a little bit late.

Damn it, Hannah, why is the first I'm hearing of this?

I'm still plugging away on the first draft of Crimson Masquerade. Hoping to finish it by Christmas, but I don't think that's going to happen.

I do have a ton of shopping done, though sadly, it's mainly for the people with whom we won't exchange gifts until the weekend after Christmas, not the people we'll be seeing ON Christmas, so I've still got some crunch.

House is all decorated though. And it's awesome.

Yeah, my weekend sucked out all my mojo, too... Shopping, baking, tree is up...

And HEY--I discovered Hannah was back all on my own! But it's good of you to let people know!

EEEK!!! Seriously did not realize Christmas is here already! ACK! Is it too late to ship via USPS and still have it arrive on time? Oh dear goodness... the lines will be horrible!

Wait... already on the computer...AMAZON.COM to the rescue!

Good luck with the end of the WIP! I've never finished one, so when you finish I'll live vicariously through you, if you don't mind. (Oh, who am I kidding? I'll do it even if you do mind.)

I'm behind too. It's all going to fast. No tree yet, all the shopping to do...I'm tired just thinking about it. :)

I'm trying to really get through my WIP at the moment. I'm actually loving writing it, but I'd like to be farther along than I am. Like you, I cannot believe Christmas is so CLOSE!!! Gotta make sure I've got everyone's presents ready :)
Hope you have a great week!
