Ugh, it's been so hot recently it's been absolutely ridiculous. I mean, 103 degrees? Really? Forget the roads buckling, how am I supposed to work on my doggie sunbathing if I can only stand to be outside for less than 5 minutes?

Yvie returns, ape-friends, to fire you out of a cannon of fun into the loving net that is the weekend.

That's right. I can metaphor too. Bam!

The weather has been great this week! All the toys in the yard that were buried under the snow have been picked up and washed, and all us dogs started working on learning new tricks.

Tula is going to learn how to roll over. And play dead.

George is learning how to spin.

And I'm going to learn how to go out (where I head out in the yard and find a target).

So far, it's all going good.

Hi Everyone! Yvie's back for our usual Friday fun words.




You'll never guess what we've got in our house now. NEVER! This is how you're going to look:

Anne has been wanting one of these for years. It was why she had built her guinea pig cage so big, just in case.

Well after years of waiting, she finally arrived!

Meet our newest family member, a hairless guinea pig!





Her name is Harriet B. Suit (the B stands for birthday). She's a skinny pig, which is a breed of pigger which is born hairless except for a bit of hair on her nose and maybe some on her feet. She's almost four weeks old and she's super nice and super duper warm when you hold her.
I definitely want to eat her.



Now, Onto the words!


Advest - when you invest in ads. Which is dumb. No one watched commercials anymore





Unwricat - this is the opposite of an LOLCat. A cat which refuses to do any sort of writing or interwebs lording. Because own the interwebs, ape-friends. They most definitely do




Brofo - This is a curse word you use specifically to refer to your "bro" when he does something particularly heinous. Similar to Mofo





Biteypo - Clearly a Po which has a preference for biting





Glerperp - This is a term which refers to the sounds people (and dogs too) make when they throw up. Gross, right?

Well here we are, ape-friends. Another Friday.

How was everyone's week? Are you staying warm? I hope so, because it is CO-OLD here. And the worst part is, it's all sunny and nice looking outside, but as soon as Mommy opens the door to let me out, a cold arctic blast of wind hits me in the face.
No thanks.

I don't think it's fair that I have to potty in the cold. Not. One. Bit.

Typen - pens for typewriters. What? Some typewriters like to collect pens just like everyone else! Man, I don't have any tolerance for typewriter bigots like you. *shakes head sadly*

Well it snowed here last weekend, and though we all hoped maybe it would melt, it didn't. We're officially into winter and soon not even doggy sweaters and boots will be enough for us to keep up on our morning walks.

*Twilint - what one can find in Jacob and Edward's belly buttons. I bet you could sell twilint on eBay and make a cool mil.






*Lyablobs - Blobs that tell falsities. Something like "oh don't worry, I'm not going to devour you" and then they're all "hahaha! Just kidding, I'm TOTALLY going to devour you, even though I have no stomach or other internal organs to speak of. And also, what's my motivation? I'm a blob!"

Friday Fun Words

Yvie's back! To provide you with your usual fun words to enhance your human vocab.

Unfortunately, once again words were scarce this week. So I'll have to throw some other fun things your way.

But first, guess what we found on out walk on Wednesday?

THIS!







We heard him crying outside, so we went to go take a look, since maybe he was just asking for his owners to let him in. But once he saw, he came running across the street to us!

George and Tula wanted to eat him, but I was a lady and said "Do not worry, small furry mammal. I shall not eat you."

Mom and Anne named him Tidus, after one of Mom's character's in her NaNo project.
I wish we could have kept him, but there are people with cat allergies in the fam, so it was a no go.

Anne brought him into her work where he'll be on stray hold for five days and then he'll be adopted. Just like me!

I hope he gets a great home.
