Wednesday Weird: Gettysburg Ghost Footage

As mentioned before, I love looking at supposed ghost footage clips. If you have a video of a ghost or something that could be a ghost, then I want to watch it.

So today I have a video of ghost footage at Gettysburg. In case you're not in the know, Gettysburg is purported to be really haunted. People claims to see ghosts and weird things there all the time. This video is one of my all time favorite ghost clips.

When watching you'll see what appears to be flashes of musket fire. And then, if you keep watching, you'll see people in the woods. It's important to note that there is no road behind the trees (so the lights can't be from cars, etc). Whether the people in the trees are actual people or not (and the washed out color of the people is a bit suspect) I guess we can't be certain, but the people on the video were confident there were no actual people in the trees where they were filming.

Here you go!

Thoughts? I'd love to hear them!!

Fireflies and the wind blowing the trees? Not sold on this one.

First things first, those accents are awesome.

Now, considering the history of Gettysburg, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find some souls have lingered there.

I wouldn't say the video is absolutely conclusive, but it's pretty close.

The people filming sounded baffled at what they were seeing so I doubt they created a hoax.

On a side note, I find it interesting that in many clips the ghosts repeat their actions as if caught in a time loop.

As for the people in the 'trees', I can attest to this.

When I was very little, I saw people climbing what seemed like a hill--only it was in the middle of my fourth story walk-up apartment. I pointed to the ceiling and told my mother there were people in the air.

The people climbing paid no attention to me, but there was a very old Indian who turned and looked straight at me before he continued his climb.

I can remember this as clearly as if were yesterday. It was my very first ghost sighting.

I didn't see his comment before watching it, but Yeah, I'm going with Alex on this one: Fireflies.

Also, they don't sound particularly frightened like most people who have their heart rates skyrocket from seeing something truly uncanny.

These folks have very strange accents first of all. Secondly, why are they hanging out there at night?

Very creepy. To be fair, if anywhere is going to be haunted, Gettysburg is where it's going to happen. They say similar things about Salisbury Plain (Battle of Hastings).

I don't believe in ghosts. Especially ones on film. Film is so easily faked. Just look at that pig that saved the drowning goat. Total fakery.

I watch Ghost Hunters a lot and they had film of Gettysburg too. They said the ghosts were stuck. So I believe this. The people in the trees seem to be doing/walking the same way.

Great stuff Sarah.

Oh my word, that is so incredibly creepy!! Can you imagine actually being out there when you saw that? Eek!! I'd flip out. It looked like a body without legs.
