Hiya Ape-friends! How was your week? Full of stuff? Hoomin stuff? Of course it was.
Well here I am, Yvie, to try and launch you into the weekend with a blog post of fun.
First, though, a quick personal message about something important to me.
As you know, I was a shelter pup. That's right, wonderful, glorious moi, was dropped off at a shelter as a little pup, scared and alone.
Good thing that only lasted a day before I was brought to my forever home!
Once a year the Animal Humane Society has a Walk For Animals, where participants can raise money for AHS to help provide for all the animals in need. It's the biggest walk in the whole nation!

I know times are tough for many of my ape-friends out there, but if you can spare a few extra dollars, please consider donating to my walk and our team (Our team name is Team Super Awesome Cool Dynamite Wolf Squadron).
Here's the link. I even wrote the page info, so check it out and consider donating. Every little bit helps another dog, like me, be happy and loved for the rest of their life.
ONTO THE FUN!
Check out this AWESOME LIGHT SHOW! It's amazing, I promise!

We donate to several animal shelters in our area. And to two rescue groups.
My best friend just sent me the Jimmy Stewart video. It's very sweet--and true.
Scottish Fold cats are both ridiculous and adorable. Fact.
That crazy white cat is some sort of wierd cat too (tiny ears, flattish face) but i can't figure out what...
just read some more of those movie illustrations- i of course love 'it rubs the lotion on its skin...'
My week's been filled with sinus pressure and cold medicine. Blegh.
Awesome team name, btw.
Is that white cat with the tiny ears the Voldemort cat that's been popping up on the internet?
And for the record, that Half Price Books graffitti isn't from *this* Austin.
Dude, I'm just gonna say that white cat is effin creepy. And I love all animals. But that thing...*shudder*
I LOVE the dog and the rock. That dog reminds me SO MUCH of a Staffordshire terrier I had a love affair with when I worked at the shelter. I called him Smart Dog (because he was). Unfortunately, he didn't have a happy ending...he was stolen, along with 2 other "fighter" type dogs. It still makes me cry to think about it.
Thanks for the images. Oh what was creepy Summer, I thought the white kitty was super cute!
Hooray for shelters and rescue groups! We have one of the best dogs ever because of them.
Also, I had no idea so many people in bathroom stalls believed Terry Pratchett is a taxi driver. Where do they come up with such nonsense?
Maria - yeah i liked it a lot
Anne - yeah, it's weird. And i totally want a scottish fold.
Also, i like the "what is in the box" one as well
Teebore - i secretly hoped it was you. And no, voldemort cat has no nose and looks kinda scary. That cat just looks weird
Summer - aww that sucks. Twin occasionally has to deal with animal theft at their shelter too. Often puppies.
Jacqueline - i find the cat both creepy and cute, so i can understand where you're both coming from
Nate - Almost all of our bestest animals came from the shelter. And every time i read that grafitti it cracks me up
"Cat will come and sit in the exact center..." Bwahahaha! *So* true! My kitty would slink up and squat in the center of whatever I was knitting...
And if you like Scottish Fold kitties--go check out Japanese cat blog "I Am Maru". Maru is a pretty big phenomenon here:-))

lots of his videos have been featured at ICanHazCheezburger...
Love your devotion to protecting dogs and your blog--I just awarded you one of my On Target blog awards! Check it out at:

Cheers, Catherine
Those darned, crazy ideas! Come out of nowhere and take over your head. :) Love the pics!!
Yvie, you are wonderful canine companion. I'd love to help you and Team Super Awesome Cool Dynamite Wolf Squadron but me and Monster Child just adopted ANOTHER dog. She was going to go to the shelter but I couldn't resist her big brown eyes. We call her Bella. (No not after HER, but because Bella means beautiful in Italian).
How's your tooth? Did Mommy take you to the doggie dentist yet?
My kitty was a shelter kitty. It broke my heart that I couldn't take every single cat in that place home. But I donate when I can and am a firm advocate of rescuing animals.
Sarah, I have something at my blog for you when/if you get the chance.
Yokohama - ah yes, cute little Maru. Good times
Catherine - thanks! I'm off to check it out right now!
Janel - it's true. they do
Anne - no worries! And nope, no tooth extraction yet, but probably either this week or the next
E.Elle - ooh thanks! Off to check it out right now!
