In Which I Make A Deal

So, after much thought and discussion regarding my Deal With The Universe, I've finally made up my mind on what I will do.

So here is the Official Deal:

If I get the thing that rhymes with Boffer of Bepresentation I will:
Pierce my ears
.

And not normal piercing. I already have a set of holes in my lobes. No, I'm going to get an Industrial Bar piercing.

Or, I may be able to be talked into something like this:

It will depend on the conversation I have with the piercer at my tattoo studio.

So. There is my official Deal With The Universe. Witnessed by all of you.

On the plus side, my mom has also decided to make a Deal on my behalf.

Her official deal is:

If I (Sarah) get the above mentioned thing that rhymes with Boffer of Bepresentation, while I (Sarah) am getting my piercing, she will get a tattoo.

That's right, two Deals With The Universe.

So cross your fingers for me, and help the universe along.

So how about you? Made any deals (or got any piercings) lately?

Wow! I LOVE that unique piercing you've chosen. LOVE. I've always wanted a tattoo, but I'm a scaredy cat with pain :o( I have four holes in my ears and one in my nose. I think that's gonna be the extent of it. :o/

Ellen - thanks! And me too

Jessica - this will be my first piercing as something other than a toddler

good luck!!!!!!

just a thought with your second piercing option... earbuds. do you use earbuds when you listen to music? because i'm trying to riddle out how the would fit in your ear with the piercing...
it's always wanted to pierce the top of my ear, my big brother had 5 piercings in his one ear and i always thought it looked so cool! and your mama is too sweet!!! :)

I like the bars. I got my mid-ear pierced back in college, but it ended up giving me so much trouble that I took it out and let it heal up. I'm allergic to nickel, so I have a hard time wearing jewelry--even the titanium that you get pierced with. It just irritates my skin.

I approve of this deal! And your Mom's deal! How about Twin??

LOL! Too funny. I have a deal that I'll get a tattoo for which ever of my stories get pubbed. No piercings... just a tat relative to the story. :)

Sara - Thanks! The universe can't ignore piercings, right?!

Aspiring - i do not use earbuds, but i too wonder about things. Like, what if i need to get into my ear for some reason?!

Summer - hmm, yeah i'm surprised she didn't jump on the bandwagon. And i, too, have metal allergies! Though gold gives me the most trouble

PK - ooh i have an unoffical deal for a tat related to my first pubbed story as well. Good times.

OUCH!!!!!!

That second one looks incredibly uncomfortable!

I had no idea you were in the boffering stage of the game. Good for you.

Although, I'm sorry, I won't be able to make any kind of deals for boffers of any kind of bepresentation. I'm jsut a big fraidy cat. Can't even ride the ferris wheel at the carnival. Never mind piercing a body part.

Austin Gorton said...

Yikes, that second one looks painful.

@Summer: How about Twin??

Yeah, where's Twin's sympathy deal? ;)

Kittie Howard said...

Ouch! Looks sooo painful! But, good luck!

Julie said...

Good luck! And your mom sounds awesomely supportive. I wonder what I could get MY mom to do...hmm...

Ashlie Hawkins said...

Awesome! I had an industrial piercing in university...I suppose technically I still have the piercing, I just don't wear the jewellery anymore. I loved it, and it wasn't painful to have done. The only problem with it is you have to be really careful when you brush your hair or when you're getting your hair cut - it's very easy to catch the piercing with a comb or brush!

Um, ooh, ouch!? Good luck on the boffer and the piercing!!

Lindsay said...

Great deal, but OUCH. I'm sending all the good vibes I can your way for that boffer ;)

Do we get photos with your deals?

Anne Ahiers said...

ha! my friend at work also asked me what i was chipping in. Honestly, i hadn't even thought of it. I'm not sure what i would do that would have any weight- i already have tattoos, and multiple ear piercings...
i guess i could get an eyebrow piercing, but...meh, i've kind of outgrown that

TL Conway said...

Ohhhh! Awesome! Though I will admit, I cringed when I read the Ashlie's comment about brushing/combing your hair. Eek!

But huzzah for awesome moms! What a great Deal with the Universe!

Ohh, I just had my cartilage pierced 7 weeks ago. It take FOREVER to heal! I would vote for the barbell. I am a obsessive q-tip-after-shower user and a piercing that had a bar running inside the opening of my ear hole would drive me nuts, esp. if I had a bad itch in there. LOL

Piercings, ha. I'm an engineer. I have a tattoo and that's it. It is supposed to mean Barbarian, but I suspect it may mean Barbarian Turnip.

No piercings. I like it, and my wife has some.

I've said I want to get a cat-scratch across my Barbarian Turnip tattoo, soup it up, you know. I may do that, and let wife get flowers added to her butt-vine-tatt.

My cousin had a vibrating tongue stud. I think his wife made him sink it.

Fun.

Woohoo! Fabulous deal! I like the smaller versions of the industrial bar--like across the top. What are you getting for a tattoo?

Lola Sharp said...

YOUCH!!!

(I'm a *bock-bock* chicken)

I hope the buffer comes soon. :)

Huggleberries,
Lola

Sarah Ahiers said...

B Kaur - thanks! And tattoos are fun!

Read My Book - thanks!

She Ra - don't be embarrased, i worry about the same thing

Kristin - well i hope it's not too ouch anyway...

Matt - yeah i'm not fully sold on that one yet...

Anne - well i'm not there yet, but i can keep hoping. And making deals to increase my chances

Teebore - Hah! You will have to ask her

Kittie - thanks! And a little pain doesn't scare me ;)

Julie - thanks! And yeah, she's pretty rockin for a mom

ashlie - ooh good to know. Thanks for the tip!

Janel - thanks! I'm crossing all my fingers and probably will be for a long time

Lindsay - Yay! Thanks!

Alex - hells yeah there will be photos!

Anne - yeah, which is why it was so hard for me to pick something too

TL - thanks! Yeah i cringed a bit too, but now that i know, i can avoid it. And Knowing is half the battle!

Joy Ann - yeah i'm a bit like that too. Though i assume since it's just on the tragus there, it's got some wiggle room

Eric - i have to say, a barbarian turnip sounds pretty badass

Hart - thanks! And she's not sure yet. No point in making the decision unless it actually happens

Lola - mmm! Huggleberries are the best kind of berry! And they're in season!

Fun deals and I like that your mom joined in.

Maria Zannini said...

That sounds like a good deal.

I especially like the bar in the first photo. The second one looks like you might need to do some drilling. :)

Good luck, Sarah!

Anonymous said...

I hope the universe is listening to you.

The second pic is kinda cool.

Sarah Ahiers said...

Ninja - you should totally make a deal too! It's fun!

Holly - thanks and yeah, she's pretty awesome like that

Maria - ewwww, ear drilling...

Medeia - I hope it is too! And it all depends on what the piercer says

LisaAnn said...

Yessss! You are hilarious, and your mom is officially my hero!
