In Which We Carve!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Are you doing anything fun tonight? Did you do anything fun over the weekend?

We carved pumpkins, as usual. Two apiece, to get as many seeds as we could for roasting.

So how about you? Do you carve pumpkins?

Great pumpkins!!!! We by-passed carving this year. The wife and son are too busy getting ready to go to Disney. Go figure! :)

We did when we lived in the suburbs and could display our creations, but now that we're in the sticks, we don't decorate at all.

Obviously, I need to throw a party. Maybe next year.

Is that the Monopoly guy? If so, he may be the scariest of all. Happy Halloween!

I bought a black craft pumpkin and paired it with white Christmas lights. No carving, just drilling.

No mess... and unfortunately, no pumpkin seeds either.

Well done! I'm hella impressed with all three of you. I can manage the classic triangle look and that's about it.

We haven't carved pumpkins for a few years now. We will again once we have kids and/or live in a neighborhood where we actually get trick-or-treaters.

You know all about my fun murder mystery weekend. :)

*gasp* You are a seriously talented bunch of pumpkin carvers. I love all of them!
I always carve at least one. Wouldn't be Halloween without that.

I carved one for The Monster and cut up another for pie and seeds. Lots of seeds this year.

Love your carvings, I only managed triangles, but I did get some good teeth.

No carving here, but yours are awesome! Couldn't pick the best if I tried.

Yes, we decorate and carve...and roast seeds! Yummm. (what seasoning do you use?)

Also, I find it interesting that both you and your brother made all your Jack's eyes round/circles, but your sister made both of her sets of eyes not circles.

I love everyone's mouths and use of teeth and your brother's colonel sanders looking 'stache get up. Well done, you guys. :)

Excellent pumpkins!

Usually I have a grandkid around sometime before Halloween to help me carve but it didn't happen this year. Out porch pumpkin is large and round and faceless.

Very cute. Excellent carving skills. The boys carved pumpkins last week. I went out on Sat. night. Tonight it's all about the candy!

Pumpkins Times! Great job - mine are less than... good. The kids draw them on and then I am left to carve them ("Have Mom do this, she's better at it") and I can't always tell what it is I am supposed to be doing:

"Are these glasses?"
"No! It's eyebrows!"
"Oh... well, what are these then?"
"His angry-eyebrows that he wears on top of his normal ones!"
"How about we just make glasses?"
"No!"

Happy Halloween you guys!!!

Nice job on the pumpkins! I carved one the first year I moved into my home only to find it smashed the next day. :( I quit after that.
