I spent most of the day on Sunday making my playlist for my NaNo novel. I had a lot of songs I needed to rip to iTunes and also quite a few ones to listen to and decide if I wanted to purchase.
A HUGE THANKS to everyone who gave me suggestions. I listened to everything I could find and added those I liked to my playlist.
BEHOLD! NaNo 2010 playlist!
(keep in mind, this is not the complete playlist because there were a few songs I could get on iTunes or that I ripped which were not available on Playlist.com. Nevertheless, it's pretty close)
Did anyone esle make a playlist? If so, I'd love to hear it.
Well, we're day three into NaNo. I'm ahead, which is good, but looking at all you crazy peeps with the huge 8 and 10 K word counts is freaking me out a bit.
How are things going for you?

Love the variety of tunes you have there!
Having a NaNo playlist is a great idea. I listen to the same songs every time I write. Year after year. I think I need to change things up.
Nevets - thanks!
Roxy - i try and shake things up for different stories. Otherwise, like you, i'd just listen to the same things over and over again
Weird; I totes commented earlier, but it's not there. Oh well.
No playlist for me. Just my film scores on random, though I have stopping on the James Bond/David Arnold stuff for this book.
Something I learned yesterday: I can work and blog, or work and NaNo, but I can't do all three. Which is troublesome on those days when I have to do it all during business hours, like today.
This has some of my favourites on it - Annie Lennox and Moby!
Happy writing.
I don't do this, but yours is awesome!
I do love me some Enya along with other Celtic ladies like Moya Brennan and Loreena McKennith.
The only song I love, but really love, from THE FRAY is HEARTLESS.
Teebore - weird indeed. Have you been going in early to try and give yourself NaNo time?
Talli - those are both full of win
Matthew - thanks! And you should totes try it for your novel, it's fun
Dezmond - i'm not a huge The Fray fan, but there are a few of their songs i really enjoy
I did yesterday and Monday. Today I had to take Mrs. Teebore to work and it's my mom's birthday so I can't stay late so I can go home and get cookin', so couple that with a blog post and there's very little, if any, NaNoing going on today.
I wonder if this was the first time in history Dethklok and the Fray were on the same playlist.
No play list for me but I have been listening to The Black Keys, Los Straitjackets, and The Cramps quite a bit the last few days.
Figured the Mastodon was too much! Right now I'm just listening to anything heavy and fast.
Yay for the addition of Sonata Arctica. Whoo!
I should have made a Nano playlist, but I generally tend to listen to Iron Maiden whenever I'm typing. Something about that music enables me to type like a madman :)
Down here I get this little message plasterd over your list.
"Due to licensing restrictions, some or all tracks may be unavailable for playback in your country."
Hmm, Aussie copyright laws are nasty!
Teebore - ah gotcha. Well you'll just have to make it up
Dan - it could quite possibly be so
Alex - i had a hard time finding mastadon on playlist.com. go figure
Jamie - i totes loved the Sonata Arctica
Al - aww, boo on that
Al's right--I get the same message over here in Japan. (Big sad eyes, pouty lip:(( Awesome list, though! Very inspiring:))
