In Which I Forgot To Write A Post

So I pretty much forgot to write a post for today. I was super busy at work (not stressed, just busy) and Wednesdays we head over to my parent's after work for dinner and some TV. And then came home and watched Glee and then went to bed and I barely remembered to write this little post.

Sorry. My Bad.

To make up for the short post, please accept this LOLCat as an apology.

Also here is a haiku Twin's friend/co-worker wrote that I found funny. She allowed me to share it so here you go:

My enemy waits
Lying on the bathroom floor
Never-ending bits!

Awesome.

Anyway, I hope you all have a nice Thursday! Just a few more days to get through until the weekend.

I'm excited because this weekend, besides being full of awesome things (like free tickets to an advanced screening of Shrek Forever After at the MOA (That's the Mall of America for you non-locals)) it also begins the beginning of my week off from work. Which means, a week of sleeping in.

So.
Excited.

Yvie will be in tomorrow with her usual Friday Fun Words.
See you there!

That is some serious cuteness!

I've always wanted to go to the MOA. I likes to shop.

Have a wonderful week off!

Love,
Lola

I'm jealous of the week of sleeping in! One day, my kids are going to realize that sleep is good and they'll stop waking up before the crack of dawn! :) Have a fun week off of work!

Let us know what you thought of Shrek!

I'm excited for my time off too! Although I don't have as much.

As you may have noticed, I don't have a post up yet. I didn't do it last night and it's not easy to use blogger on the work computer so there won't be many pictures.

*sigh-

Oh to sleep in! I'm jealous. And do let us know about Shrek. I'm wondering if it's too advanced for Monster Baby.

Sarah Ahiers said...

Amy - though to be fair, sleeping in for me is like 7:30, 8 at the latest

Alex - will do

Erica - oooh, nice alliteration

Palindrome - you know, i didn't notice yet. I've kind of checked out since i'm so close to vacay

Piedmont - will do. she's about 5, right?

I'm jealous of your week of "sleeping in".

(I put quotes around cuz 7 or 8's not really sleeping in...).

@Palindrome: Woohoo! I'm glad your post today didn't go up. I was so busy yesterday ruminating on and deconstructing Lost (and, you know, working) that I fell behind. Now I can catch up, easy-peasy.

@Teebore- Oh, it's up now! muhahaha!

Wow - you get to go to the Mall of America? How big is it really? Would it take a week to go through all the stores? Is the movie theater huge?

I apologize, I grew up in the country, this whole thing is very impressive to me.

@Joan: I live 15 min. from the mall, and worked there in the summers during high school (at a golf store, oddly enough). So it's always just been, like, a mall to me, and never seemed that big. Especially now, when it has lots of stores, but many of those stores are duplicates, like two Gaps, or a two story Old Navy.

But it is pretty big, really. Three full floors of stores wrapped around an amusement park, with an aquarium in the basement. The movie theater is on the 4th floor, and there used to be a ton of restaurants and clubs up there, but they went away, and are now slowly coming back.

But not the Hooters. It never left.

The movie theater is big-ish, I dunno, 10-15 screens, probably, but none of them are stadium (it predates stadium seating). There are better theaters around, though they did recently renovate it.

If you ever find yourself in Canada's frozen neighbor to the south, you let one of us know, and the UMWADS'll show you around the ol' MOA.

You're so lucky that you live near MOA! I grew up in the Mall Capital of the World (AKA New Jersey) but I hear nothing compares to MOA. Have fun seeing the Shrek movie. :)

That is just the kind extreme cuteness I needed right now. Also, I love Glee! It was great this week.

Sarah Ahiers said...

Shannon - yeah that kitty is full of adorableness

Talli - thanks! I just want to kiss it

Teebore - well you forget we go to bed around 9:30 - 10. Also normally i'm up at 6 am, so an extra hour and a half is a bonus. I'm a morning person

Joan - we're big fans of the MOA here, mostly becasue we liek to eat and there are a lot of food options, The mall used to have awesome crazy stores, like one filled with holographic pictures and one dedicated to bones. But those went away. Though the kooky is starting to come back a bit, with the mirror maze and the mall wide wizard scavenger hunt.

But yeah there's a lot of duplicate clothing stores

Teebore - yeah we only go to the MOA theater when it's, you know, free. It's not the way i like to see movies.
And yes, if Joan ever takes the trip south we have have THE MOST AWESOME MOA TRIP EVER!
And maybe a quick stop at IKEA

Shelley - the MOA is fun for like an afternoon of shopping, but it's not great if you just need to run in and get something

Kelly - Glee was GREAT this week and i am SO SO SO excited wiith NPH playign Bryan Ryan next week. Also i think Joss Whedon is directing that episode. Gonna be great!

@Falen: I dunno, I must just be lazy. I'm totally a night owl, but I usually go to bed around 10:30 (unless I don't have to get up early the next day, in which case I'll stay up later) but I could still easily sleep til about 11 if I had my druthers.

I miss the more kooky MOA stores. Remember Starlog? That was the best store ever. And I was way too young to fully appreciate its awesome. Now I could, but it's gone.

Frankly, the mall was much cooler when it had three toy stores and three different places where one could buy comics.

I'm a morning person too. A forced morning person. I used to be a night person but I can't have coherent thoughts at night any more. Today is my day off and I'm up early. I had to force myself to sleep in until 8. And I stayed up to midnight last night. I am a huge napper though. I loves napping.

Hannah said...

And we seriously need to get Joan to come to Minnesota!!

Kittie Howard said...

The kitty is soooo sweet, oh, can't resist! Enjoy your week off.

Sarah Ahiers said...

Teebore - i bet if you slept that long for a few days in a row, tough, your body would adjust and you'd start waking up earlier

Our favorite MOA store was Zero Gravity - they had so much awesome stuff and the best pewter figurines which we all collectd -w e'd save up our money and then our parents woudl brign us to each pick out a new figurine.

I still miss that store. And the endangered species store

Palindrome - i think i've always been a morning person, more or less. my parents are too, but not so much other sister and brother

Kittie - thanks!
