I'm on a strict deadline right now, which means I just don't have time to keep up with the blog for the next few weeks.

So I'm on a hiatus until this book is finished.

As mentioned last week, I am super super busy right now.

And one of those busy reasons is because starting on Thursday is my MFA residency.  Which means no blog posts next week and probably the week after.

But I will have posts for the rest of this week, including a Wednesday Weird for tomorrow, so I hope you stop by!

As the title says, I'm off for my second residency for my MFA.





I'm super excited and I know it will be so much fun, but that means no blogging until I'm back, probably the week of the 21st, or maybe even the 28th.

It's the 4th of July today, which means no real blog post today or Monday because I am at the cabin, swimming and grilling and playing games.

In Which I Take A Break

Hey nerds. I'm taking this week off from blogging. Maaaaaybe a bit of next week, too. I have some MFA work that's due next week, so I've hit crunch time and need to spend pretty much all of my time finishing up my revisions and papers.

In Which I Take A Shory Hiatus

No blog posts this week, pals. With the holiday and going up to the cabin, I figured I'd just take this week off.

In Which I ...Hiate? ...Hiatus?... What?

So even though I had a post scheduled for today, I've moved it out a few weeks. I think I'm going to take a shortish bog hiatus. The day job is seriously destroying me right now. And then throw in writerly things as well as tons of stuff coming up in my non Internet world, the truth is I just don't have time to visit blogs right now. And I hate it when I post posts and I don't visit other blogs. It just rubs me the wrong way, for me, anyway.

So. For now, I'm stepping back. I don't know for how long but at least a week. Possibly all the way through August, though I hope not.

In Which I Am Unplugged

Hi All - I'm going to be unplugged this week.

Real life has been real busy, and I just want to finish up Glimpse as fast as possible. I'll still be around your blogs, though, so no worries.

In Which I'm Back

Here I am, back from my week long blog hiatus. It was quite awesome, let me tell you and I accomplished a lot of stuff.





Things I got done last week:

1. Read 2 books (Ship Breaker was excellent)
2. Finished watching Veronica Mars (sadface that it's over.)
3. Got a good chunk of reading done on the two manuscripts I'm beta reading
4. Cleaned the house a bit.
5. Heard back from almost all my Beta Readers about Glimpse and have some good ideas for some changes.
6. Drew a picture (it's not done yet)


And that's about it, but that's not bad for a week away from blogging.

I also have to continue working on my "agents to query" list. I've gone through all the agents on agent query that rep both Fantasy and YA, (about 70) and now I'm working my way through the agents that have their genres just listed as YA. There's like another 250 of those.
Needless to say, it's a lot of agents to wade through.

So, how are things with you? Did I miss anything super exciting while I was away?

In Which I'm In A Slump

As the title says, I'm in a bit of a blogging slump right now. I have some blog post ideas, but I just can't find the energy to write them.

I even came up with a good idea in the shower (You know, thank god for the shower. My stories would be less fleshed out and my blog emptier without my time in the shower. For reals.) but when I sat down to blog about it, I was just met with a "meh" feeling.






So, I think I will take a small blogging break. Not too big, just for next week. By then, I should have some mojo back. I should, at the very least, have a WIP update by then since I'm starting to hear back from my beta readers (though I'm still waiting on my critique from Agent Sara Megibow. And the closer it gets to the end of February, the more crazy I get about checking my email for it.)

So, Yvie will still have a Friday Fun this week, but then we'll be on a break for next week.
