In Which I Had A Birthday

Yes my birthday was a few weeks ago, but as a family it's been stretched out for the whole month. Technically it's still going on, since we have one more dinner and a few more presents.

Sometimes twin and I get each other presents and sometimes we don't. It all just depends on how we're feeling each year. And the money sitch, of course.

This year money is tight. But we still decided to get each other presents. But we're way behind on them. But I've gotten presents from everyone else in the fam which is awesome.

Two of my favorite presents this year is this awesome Le Creuset French oven from my parents

And this awesome immersion blender from my Bro. I gots a lot of cooking to do to break these babies in.

But aren't they peeerty?

I love getting cooking stuff for presents. Because I like food and I like to cook so it's like more than one present, because you get the thing, and it comes with an opportunity to do some fun cooking and an opportunity to hopefully eat something nummo.

What about you? Do you like to cook?

Happy birthday month!
I enjoy cooking but I would definitely have to check with my wife before buying her any cooking utensil.

Happy Birthday time, also!

I'm not great at cooking (my enthusiasm never makes up for my lack of finesse) but I love orange so to me those are fabulous gifts!

I cook because I have to, not because I want to. LOL!

But hubby enjoys it and he especially likes all the gadgets. I just bought him one of those immersion blenders.

Looks like you got some good loot this year. :)

PS Does your twin like to cook too?

Last year my wife's parents bought her a dishwasher for her birthday. BEST. PRESENT. EVER. I love practical gifts these days.

Happy birthday! I prefer baking to cooking. :)

Oh yeah, I love getting cooking things for presents (cleaning things, nope). I think my favorite cooking appliance is the meat grinder. We use it to make home made raviolis (so much faster than the hand crank machine!!!)

Happy month-long birthday!!!

I'm digging that immersion blender too. You can make some killer smoothies and shakes.

Happy Birthday! Those are some awesome presents. I love to bake but I mostly hate to cook. Sometimes I just tell myself I'm doing one of those finnicky "raw" diets to justify my laziness in reaching for a Luna bar and a handful of dried apricots at lunch time but the truth is I just don't know how to turn food-parts into actual meal-things. I'm jealous of those of you who do!!!

So glad you had a nice birthday!! And they (your prezzies) are pretty. Even looks like they go together b/c of the orange :). I can't really cook, maybe three mediocre dishes at best lol!

Happy Happy Birthday. I love that pot. I have an old one from 100 years ago that my grandmother broke in for me and I use it for everything.

And I used to cook, professionally, but not so much anymore. Monster isn't impressed with my French cuisine, she just likes mac'n cheese. But won't eat homemade, likes the stuff in the box. Oh well.

Well, if you're still celebrating your birthday I can't wish you a happy belated one yet... so I'll wait. Nice haul, though.

I don't like to cook. I like to eat. Luckily, my wife enjoys cooking, so it all works out. At least, until I'm once again stuck doing the dishes...
