Friday Fun Words

Welcome back to Friday Fun Words, where I, the fantastic and wonderful Yvie, make up definitions for word verification words so that we all may increase our vobabulary.

Don't you mean "vocabulary"?

Mommy, that's what I said.

You do know that you don't have much of a vocabulary though, right? It's mostly just barks and yaps and weird little burbles...

...Mommy... What have I said about you staying out of my dlog -blog- blog posts?

Seriously though, I have proof. Watch this:

... You win this round Mommy. But don't you forget how important I am, because it's more important than you, that's for sure.

Anyway, onto the words!

Themens - clearly, all the males

Prestso - when you reveal something magical/wonderful, but are met with less than enthusiastic responses.

Flendly - when you're on good terms with one who imparts, temporarily, their belongings upon you.

Bulate - a male, uncastrated cow, who's never on time to the parties

Solempti - when the sun runs out of juice. As slang, can be used to mean when a person has no soul, aka a monster.

Impash - what's left when you barbecue a gremlin. BTW, gremlins don't taste all that great, sort of burlap with a hint of toe.

Smell ya later, ape-friends!

Guess I'll take gremlins off my list then!

Yvie, you saucy minx! Thanks, I needed some fun this Friday.

This week, Prestso is my favorite, I think.

My word: shostere. French for shyster.

(and another comment, because I forgot to set the last one to email me follow up comments.)

And Beeps would know all about the flavor of toe

Bulate - ROFL! :-)

Look at her little face! Oooh, how I would squish those fat cheeks. Squish 'em good!

Alex - i'm now pretty curious as to what else may be on your list...

Teebore - doesn't that leave you with a lot of emails?

Anne - she is a toe saucier (hmm i hope that's spelled right...)

Shannon - always tell bulate's to arrive 30 minutes before the party starts

Joan - the squishing is as awesome as you'd imagine. She gets a lot of face squishing here

Yeah, I get all the follow up comments to any blog on which I leave a comment emailed to me, and it does indeed keep my inbox hopping!

But it saves time as opposed to checking back, and I have yet to find a feed reader that I like as much as just reading the emails...

Sarah--I'll bet my cat (who spent 16 minutes in the dryer) can take on your dog. Anytime....(This is my attempt at humor, if you weren't sure where I was going with this.)

Have a great weekend.

Teebore - i may have to try it with some of the blogs that i comment frequently on

Sharon - was the dryer on?!

Jon Paul said...

Where does the hint of toe come from, d'ya suppose?

:D

Sarah--it was on. I posted about it a few months ago. It was horrible. Amazingly enough he survived with no apparent permanent injury. Most importatnly, he still loves me. He had to have iv fluids that night and antibiotics just in case. It was a miracle he survived! He's a maincoon...he follows me around like a puppy.

Love the post. My WV is ficista. Isn't that when ficusses get together and party?

Southpaw said...

Oh I forgot to mention, our baby is adorable.

Sarah Ahiers said...

Jon Paul - most likely from all the toe picking gremlins do

Suzette - thanks! And thanks for stopping by!

Sharon - that is CRAZY! I'll have to go find your post about it

Southpaw - ficista is an awesome word, though i don't know how entertaining a ficus party would be. Either really boring, or surprisingly fun...

I'm a little embarrassed. I noticed my last post is missing a "y" - I meant to write "your baby is adorable.” I guess that’s what happens when you don’t proof. :)

mmmm, burlap with a hint of toe, you say? That might be good with a cocktail sauce of some sort.

I've met many solemptis they're all over the place!!

I do look forward to Fridays because of this post. It keeps me smiling and making up words when I'm at work and want to smiling and making up words at home.

Teebore- I do the same thing. I love to get follow-up emails. And sometimes I forget where I commented...I'm getting old.

Southpaw - ohhh don't even worry about typos around here. I'm pretty sure i was crowned at some point as queen of typos. ;D
